EXCLUSIVE: From the far left regions of LA LA land (California), an unlikely crusader against Islam – Eric Allen Bell

I was anxious to see what had happened since his film project about the steaming controversy over the proposed Murfreesboro, TN mosque was brought to a screeching halt, by what can best be described as an ‘Islamic awakening’ Eric had from a taxicab ride with an Egyptian Copt driver. The following comes from a recent discussion I had with him.

(Note: This interview was conducted prior to the Murfreesboro judge halting construction on the mosque yesterday)

For those of you unfamiliar with Eric’s story, I will repost the background on the story of the making of the documentary “NOT WELCOME” and why it may never get finished.

Leftist writer and filmmaker, Eric Allen Bell, a regular Daily Kos contributor and an independent filmmaker for Left-leaning organizations, had his eyes opened while making a documentary about the huge controversy over the proposed 53,000 square foot Islamic Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a mega-mosque which was vehemently opposed by the community. The documentary, called ‘Not Welcome’ presents the project’s opponents as bigots and sectarian Christians, However, the film was never finished.

WARNING: This 25-min. version of the documentary was done before Eric had his eyes opened about Islam and pretty much presents the residents of Murfreesboro as rednecks and knuckle draggers.

He intended to create a film about the “Islamophobic” evangelical Christian community until he realized that Islam is not just another religion, but rather a demonic cult which embraces child abuse, misogyny, brutality, and hatred for all other religions.

From Bell’s story The High Price of Telling the Truth in Frontpage Magazine: The epihany came months after Eric had left Tennessee and returned to Los Angeles to begin editing the 300 hours of film he had in the can that would become a feature length documentary for theatrical distribution. By his own admission, Eric sided with the Islamic community in their legal right to build a house of worship, a position he still holds, but with grave new concerns.

Eric showed a 25 minute short version of the documentary to some distributors and backers, and found someone willing to back completion of the movie. It was decided that the focus would be on “the enemy at home” that being what we were calling “Apocalyptic Christianity.” The Murfreesboro issue was to be used as something of a jumping off point to take a look at the expanding influence of the End Times Evangelical lobby in the United States and how they use their influence to manufacture consent for the bombing of oil rich Islamic countries and to influence policy on social issues. The theme would focus on the problems we have in America, with our own religious lunatic fringe, rather than on a peaceful group of non-Christians who just wanted to build a place of worship.

Yesterday, Murfreesboro judge halts construction of mosque 6 weeks before completion

According to Eric, “I felt I was protecting the underdog, going after the bullies. I really believed that I was on the right side of this thing. But something kept nagging at me on a gut level. Something about all of this didn’t quite feel right. The Arab Spring, which I supported, started to degenerate into the Islamist Winter, and I grew more and more concerned. I flew back to Nashville to shoot a conference on whether or not Islam was conducive with Democratic Values and on the way to my hotel room I learned that my cab driver was from Egypt. I asked him how he felt about the fall of Mubarak, a dictator worth over $70 billion dollars while so much of his country was living in poverty and he told me he was concerned. Concerned? Wasn’t this good news? The cab driver was a Coptic Christian and he told me that he feared for his family back home. ’If the Muslims take control, and they will, it will be very dangerous for my parents and my sisters. I’m scared for them right now.’”

“After that conversation, I started to pay more attention to the news coming from the Islamic world in the Middle East. Over the coming months I watched as the Muslim Brotherhood gained political power in Egypt. I saw that cab driver’s worst fears come true as Coptic Christians were attacked by Islamic mobs. I saw Tunisia institute Sharia, the brutal Islamic Law.”

”And it struck me. Even though these angry townspeople in Mufreesboro, TN had not articulated their concerns very well, they were only half wrong.”

On the advice of Frank Gaffney, Eric started looking at Islam differently than before. Instead of looking for answers that would support his preconceived notions, he looked for the truth. He read some of Robert Spencer’s books and came to realize that Spencer was not the crazed Islamophobic loon that those on the left and the Southern Poverty Law Center had dubbed him. Eric read the Koran twice as well as some of the hadith. He showed his backers passages that call for the killing of infidels and was told
that these verses were probably being taken out of context. He asked them to watch a documentary called “Islam: What the West Needs to Know” and pointed out that he had researched and verified the truth of what was being presented there, but they would not even watch it as they were sure in advance that it was “hate speech” and “propaganda designed to spread fear.”

“It was at this time that I went to my backers and told them that we were not making an honest documentary. I felt that everything I had put into the 25 minute short version was true, but only half true. It was critical that we also show the very real threats that exist within Islam. We needed to show that what is happening to these small communities of peaceful Muslims in America are the exception to the rule. I wanted to show what happens to countries when they gain a Muslim majority, how women are treated, that homosexuals were executed, that free speech did not exist, that the forced Islamic Law was not consistent with Democratic Values – anything and everything I could think of that ought to strike a chord with the Liberal mindset.”

And the response I received was, “Eric you are starting to sound like an Islamophobe. We don’t want to make a movie that promotes fear. Let’s just stick with the existing plan, okay?”

“As a last attempt I showed them footage of the Imam in Murfreesboro condoning stoning, admitting that Mohammed had stoned someone to death, saying that women cannot be trusted with money because they are irrational. Then I pointed out that a board member of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro was investigated after pictures from his MySpace page had surfaced indicating his strong sympathies for Hamas. I was reminded that Hamas was also a political party which was voted in Democratically and that I needed to make a choice – either stick with the original blueprint or else give the money back and go find myself another backer. So I did. I walked.”

According to The American Muslim, “Bell’s article looks like something out of a loony anti-Muslim blog like BareNakedIslam, AtlasShrugs, or JihadWatch.”

Eric told me he gave back all the money he had received, which essentially made his two years of work on the documentary, a total loss, and one which ended up costing him a lot of money.

So why not get another backer? Not so easy in Hollywood, where most of the money people are in lock step with with the Left. But more troubling were the threats Eric and his family started getting when his change of heart about Islam became public knowledge. Eric was not at liberty to reveal the nature of the threats, but they were enough that he had to make special security arrangement for himself and his family. We’ve all seen the kind of threats that bloggers such as Atlas Shrugs, Jihad Watch and yours truly receive on a regular basis from Muslims, so you can be sure his were as bad, if not worse, because of his high public profile. It would not surprise me if some of the threats came from people on the Left, who are loyal allies of the Islamic community.

In several discussion with the local imam in Murfreesboro, Eric learned about the way Islam is practiced here. The imam seemed to imply that they practice a kind of modified Islam here now. As has happened in the UK and other parts of the US already, Muslims are quiet until their numbers grow large enough. Then, they feel emboldened to make demands on the state for imposition of sharia law in their local courts, request that public schools give Muslim students a room for prayer during the school day, and for schools to close down for Muslim holidays. In the UK, Sweden, and Germany, they have NO-GO zones that are sharia-compliant and non-Muslims are not welcome.

Eric showed the backers footage of the imam condoning stoning, admitting that Mohammed had stoned someone to death, and saying that women cannot be trusted with money because they are irrational. And there was more that the imam told him ‘off the record.’ But the Hollywood types were not convinced.

I asked Eric what he would do to convince more people on the Left that there is a real threat from Islam to our democratic republic and to all democracies in the West? Seeing as how it is difficult enough to get people on the Right to buy into the idea that even so-called “moderate” Muslims follow the same teachings as the terrorists, and deep down would prefer to have at least a little sharia in their lives, how could he ever hope to reach those on the Left?

Eric admits there is little hope of swaying those on the far Left, whose anti-American, pro-UN, anti-capitalism, pro-entitlement state beliefs are shared by many Muslims. However, because the mainstream Left consider themselves champions of human rights, it might be possible to reach them if they would look at Islam as a human rights catastrophe, that the Islamic world is enemy #1 of women’s rights, gay rights, children’s rights, and generally, one of the biggest abusers of human rights in the world.

Right now, the Left puts Muslims in the same category as blacks were in before the Civil Rights movement. It’s a familiar place, where they can bring out their favorite attack tool – calling conservatives ‘racists’ and ‘Islamophobes’ for being against creeping Islamization. Despite the fact that Islam is not a race, and fear of Islam is not a phobia but a justified reaction to evil, the Left insists on framing the argument in those old familiar terms which have worked so well in the past. Eric hopes he can persuade them that most everything about Islam is diametrically opposed to the values and customs of the Left – women’s liberation, anti-slavery, secularism, gay marriage, pre-marital sex, homosexuality, smoking, drinking, enjoying music and dance, freedom of or from religion, and most of all, freedom of expression.

They support Palestinians because they see them as the underdog and Israel as a big, bad bully (the new favorite adhominem of the Left). They never stop to think that all the rights that the Left hold so dear are found in only one country in the Middle East – Israel. Once again, the Left takes sides with those who demand the most but want to do the least for themselves.

Eric believes it is possible to reframe the argument to make it a human rights issue and not an Islam vs Christianity/Judaism issue. I’m not so sure. Personally, I believe that he may have some luck with the liberal Left, but not the far Left, as the far Left is every bit as fascist as the Islamofascists- both wishing for the destruction of America as we know it.

I asked Eric if he would ever finish his documentary, ‘Not Welcome?’ He said that even if he could get the money to do an expanded version which would include the truth about Islam and justification for what he originally thought was an irrational fear of Muslims and opposition to the mosque, he probably could not get it into the movie theaters or on Cable TV either. When I mentioned the political correctness re: Islam, even coming from FOX News, he defended people like Hannity and O’Reilly, saying that they have an obligation to try to avoid boycotts of sponsors and complaints to the station, if they want to keep their jobs. Attacking Islam too hard is a sure way to get yourself fired.

Back in April, Eric put out an announcement saying he would not finish the film, ‘NotWelcome’ because of threats to his life and his family. He expects that he is probably around #1000 on the Muslim hit wish list.

In his research, Eric found that up to 80% of American mosques are teaching anti-Americanism, Islamic supremacy, and outright Jew-hatred. Yet he still supports the building of the Murfreesboro mosque, as a first amendment issue in that they have the right to build a house of worship here. On the other hand, he favors keeping a close eye on Muslim political and mosque activities as well as legal challenges. That means, unlike most of the Left, Eric supports the NYPD’s system of surveillance of mosques and Muslims in America.

Not surprisingly, Eric has lost a lot of friends on the Left since he went public with this new thinking about Islam. I wondered if the negative publicity Eric got from the Left for publishing articles they consider ‘racist’ and ‘Islamophobic’ had lost him income and followers? He said, friends and acquaintances told me I had become a “hatemonger, a fear monger and an Islamophobe.”

The articles he posted on the DAILY KOS: “Loonwatch.com and Radical Islam” and “How and Why Loonwatch.com is a Terrorist Spin Control Network lost him thousands of followers on his FACEBOOK page, but gained him as many new ones at the same time. He was banned for awhile at the Daily Kos, but says he did post a few stories on the Occupy Wall Street movement until he became disillusioned with the way it was being conducted. However, he seems to be banished for good from Michael Moore’s website. Interestingly, the piece that got him banned from Daily Kos was called, “Are You In Favor of Human Rights?”

Said Eric, “The Comments section of Daily Kos made me feel like I was attending my own funeral. It was like a public stoning. There wasn’t much in the way of responding to any of the points laid out in my article but hundreds of comments accusing me of being “right wing” a “bigot” and an “lslamophobe”. This was disappointing.”

“There were also 2 Daily Kos articles written in response attacking me personally, another Loonwatch article where someone suggested I must be from Tennessee and have no education, etc. And once again, my name was put out on the street through a network of Islamic Blogs, including the landing page for CAIR, using a form of Islamic double speak which translated to any serious Jihadist means “enemy of Allah” and “insulting Islam.” And we know what happens to them.

It was even worse for Eric at Loonwatch.com. Yes, the same Loonwatch that has taken several nasty swipes at Bare Naked Islam and seems to have a an obsessive-compulsive disorder bordering on the maniacal, in their fervor to malign Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs and Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch.

As Eric tells it, ”I received an email from Loonwatch.com with an article showing my name and a photograph of my face, going out to much of the Islamic world, calling me the ‘Loon at Large.’ This article was picked up by IslamophobiaToday.com and TheAmericanMuslim.org – later being repurposed by numerous Islamic blogs around the world, including in places where we all know what happens to anyone who is perceived to be the enemy of Allah or who dares to insult Islam.”

I asked about the administer of Loonwatch, whom I suspected is not a Muslim himself. He’s pretty sure it is not Muslim run, as the administrator goes by the nane ‘Danios,’ but perhaps it is Muslim-funded by either CAIR and/or the Saudis. Pretty much everything posted about Islam on Loonwatch sounds as if it was written by CAIR, intended to “provide a smoke screen for terrorists.”

Eric has nothing but disdain for the Muslim pressure group, Hamas-linked CAIR, and feels they control the media reporting on all things Islam. He was shocked to see the media circus they caused over the film, ‘The Third Jihad,’ which was used as part of the NYPD’s counter terrorism training. He studied the film and could find nothing that was not verifiable by well-documented facts. Yet CAIR was able get the film banned and forced removal of all references to Islam and terrorism in counter terrorism courses used by the FBI and law enforcement. Eric is worried that CAIR’s chokehold on the left and on the current administration, could result in getting legislation passed that would make most criticism of Islam a ‘hate crime.’ I told him it wouldn’t be a surprise if CAIR was behind the threats made on him and his family.

Eric understands that there is no radical or moderate Islam. He prefers to call those whose action are extreme “Devout Muslims.” I mentioned that Zuhdi Jasser also calls himself a devout Muslim, and we agreed that he should refer to himself as a bad Muslim because he insults the religion on a daily basis. No Muslim would call Jasser devout, and many would likely prefer to call him ‘dead.’

For someone on the Left, Eric has several conservative-compatible views. He would like to see more immigration control on who is allowed to enter from Muslim countries. He worries about our first amendment rights being restricted when it comes to Islam and he detests the honored guest status afforded to al-Qaeda founders from the Muslim Brotherhood. As for anti-sharia legislation, he believes it should become law in every state.

We touched on Eric’s opinion of the Prophet Mohammed and it is one shared by most readers at BNI. As he states in the Frontpage article, “Where do I stand on Islam? Let’s look at its founder – a man who raped a 9 year old girl, a slave owner, a leader who ordered people to be tortured, for adulterers to be stoned, for countless nonbelievers to be beheaded, a killer, a warmonger who spread his “religion of peace” by the sword, a man who suffered from hallucinations of voices telling him to do violent things, a tyrant, a homicidal maniac perhaps the equivalent of 100,000 Osama Bin Ladens. And this sadistic lunatic is considered to be the “ideal man” in Islam. What more needs to be said about Islam than that?”

Indeed, Eric, indeed.

The shape of “Justice” in Britain today – whites jailed for words, immigrants who assault walk free

Which is the more serious offence do you think? Being drunk on a train and shouting some mild racial abuse or trying to kick someone to death while calling them a “white slag”? Well in today’s Britain, the shouting abuse offence is the one that gets treated most harshly. Our legal system is geared towards throwing the book at white people who dare question the mass invasion of our country by immigrants, many of whom are here only to abuse our benefits system, and many who have out and out hatred for us and cant even be bothered to try and disguise it.

She had done the same thing once before but the reality of the matter is, what she is guilty of here is a Section 5 public order offence, which should get her an £80 spot fine. Instead because it is “racially aggravated” she is jailed. 11 people were jailed recently in Carlisle for the same sort of thing, where no violence was used, just insulting/racist words. The police, CPS and Judges are DESPERATE to show their “anti racist” credentials, and will lock up any racist person that finds themselves at their mercy.
At the same time, the police, CPS and Judges also want to show how “not racist” they are by being leniant on any immigrants that appear before them. Weve said many times that the CPS is obsessed with diversity, and prosecutes white people ferociously while letting cases involving immigrant crimes such as grooming be swept under the carpet in the interests of “community cohesion”.
You see, to the police and CPS, white working class people and football fans are seen as “fair game”, but cases like the link above, of Muslim grooming gangs, well that needs to be hidden, we dont want any trouble now do we?
The fact is that you do not help “community cohesion” by constantly persecuting and unfairly treating white people as they are still the majority in this country and the day is coming when there will be a massive backlash against this persecution. Do you think this women is going to be “cured” by her 5 months in prison for a minor public order offence? No likely, she is going to be bitter and evil about it for the rest of her life. When people are locked up for offensive words, while groomers and paedophiles are allowed free reign, and Somalis and other foreigners are allowed to carry out vicious attacks and walk away laughing, there will be no peace.

WOO HOO! Judge halts construction on nearly completed, widely-hated monster mosque in Murfreesboro, Tennessee

A judge has ruled that construction of a controversial Murfreesboro mosque must cease immediately. Chancellor Robert Corlew III ruled that construction must cease because not enough notice was given about May 2010 public meeting. Muslim pressure group CAIR is already demanding that Eric Holder bring in the big guns.

Corlew ruled in favor of Kevin Fisher and other Rutherford County residents who sued claiming adequate notice wasn’t given when the site plan was approved for the new Islamic center.

“It’s a good day for the plaintiffs. I’m very pleased with the outcome,” said plaintiff Henry Golcyznky. Golcyznky said he was somewhat surprised Corlew in the plaintiffs’ favor.

“There should have been public notice. People should have been allowed to come in and express or at least understand what was going on. But to rubber stamp it so quickly, and nobody have any information as to what was going on,” Golcyznky said.

But the news isn’t welcome for Murfreesboro Islamic Center members who were hoping to have the mosque completed in time for the Muslim holiday of Ramadan. Construction of the mosque is well under way.

“This decision comes at a crucial time, because we were at a point about to celebrate the opening of our center which we were hoping to happen, probably within two to three months. It’s a sad day in our community,” said mosque member Saleh Sbenaty.

In a nutshell, Corlew determined the Rutherford County Regional Planning Commission didn’t give sufficient notice for the public meeting held on May 24, 2010, during which the site plans for the mosque were approved.

“Action of the Rutherford Regional Planning Commission is declared to be void,” Corlew concluded. “There was insufficient notice for the public meeting held on May 24, 2010. Under the terms of the law, then, the decisions reached at that meeting are void ab initio.”

Corlew notes that his opinion does not prevent the Rutherford County Planning Commission from reconsidering the issue and approving the mosque site plan again, but they will have to give proper notice this time, according to Corlew.

Mosque opponents have fought construction for two years, arguing that Islam is not a real religion deserving of First Amendment protections and that the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro has terrorist ties.

Protesters and pro-Islamists had shouting matches over mega mosque

“They are going to have many hurdles, and they may want to start with not committing a forgery right off the bat this time. You have the issue that this is not a religious organization. This is a Sharia compliant training organization, nothing more and nothing less,” said plaintiffs’ attorney Joe Brandon.

The judge’s ruling is drawing a lot of nationwide attention Tuesday, including from a well-known Muslim pressure group that wants the federal government to step in. Terror-linked CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) is calling for the Department of Justice to intervene in the case if the county doesn’t issue new building permits to, “protect the religious rights of Tennessee Muslims.”

This is great news, the people have been fighting against this Mosque for 2 years, and the Muslim ass lifters think they are above the law, well that's mud in your eye isn't it. Now they have to start all over again, and i am hoping and praying that the Mosque has to come down brick by brick. Allah’s Enemy’ Moscow Radio host slashed 15 times for criticizing the paedophile prophet Mohammed on air

A radio host has miraculously survived after being slashed with a knife 15 times by an unidentified criminal. Two weeks ago the journalist ventured to criticize the founder of Islam, the Prophet Mohammed, on air. (Oh for goodness sakes, have the guts to call the unidentified criminal a Muslim)

Sergey Aslanyan, 46, was brought to Moscow’s hospital with numerous non-penetrating knife wounds to the chest, neck and arm.

According to the police report, on late Monday evening an unknown man called to Aslanyan’s flat over the building intercom and called him outside for a talk. When the journalist stepped out of the entranceway he was knocked over the head with a heavy object, after which the assailant brought the knife into play.

Aslanyan claimed that the attacker was shouting “you are Allah’s enemy!” while slashing at the victim. (Just like they did to Dutch film maker Theo Van Gogh, who was stabbed in the chest for making an anti-Islam short film)

Police say the abuser was a slim man of about 30, while according to some witnesses there were several attackers.

As of now the journalist is conscious and his condition is stable. His relatives and friends are free to visit him in his flat, which is guarded by police. Investigators say they do not have a primary lead, but hope to identify the perpetrator using porch surveillance camera data.

Still, Izvestia newspaper made a guess that the attack could be linked to recent statements made by the journalist in a radio show. While discussing religion in general he made some “from zero to hero” remarks towards the Prophet Mohammed.

“The Prophet Mohammed, as we know, was not a religious figure. He was a businessman, but after getting considerable financial support built plans as to how to get to the top,” Aslanyan disclosed. He also said that the Prophet “rewrote the Bible” so that “now everyone would know the Prophet Mohammed was not a market shopkeeper, but an outstanding political figure.”

According to Aslanyan, the idea of Islam was a “business project from the very beginning,” and turned out to be successful due to “handsome financing.” Besides that, the journalist, who was an external expert at this radio show, speculated that the Prophet had some sort of sexual disorder. (Speculated? He was a known paedophile)

Reportedly, the journalist later apologized on air for the harsh statements he had made, but that did not change public opinion much. (That was stupid. Never apologize for the truth)

Such statements could not but stir the Muslim community. There was a widespread angry reaction on the Islamic internet forums. (Oh please, Muslims are congenitally angry. They don’t need a new reason)

Muslims from the Republic of Tatarstan, where Islam is the dominant religion, wrote a letter to the Prosecutor General’s office saying Aslanyan’s statements had insulted them. “These insults wound our religious feelings and come into conflict with Russian legislature, because they unleash ethnic discord and interreligious hatred,” insists Imam Seijarfar Lutfullin. (Oh, BOO HOO!)

The radio host’s colleagues say Sergey Aslanyan was always extremely cautious about what he was saying and, despite being a well-known agitator, had never got into trouble and had even won several cases against him in court – only because of his close attention to the facts he was voicing.

Gang beat up Burnley teenager for his phone

A SCHOOLBOY was subjected to a violent assault before having his mobile phone stolen.

The 15-year-old was forced to the floor by three men, before being kicked and punched while on the ground.

The incident happened last Friday at around 4.10pm on Brennand Street.

The attackers are described as Asian men, aged between 16 and 18 years old.

Detective Constable Mick Cross, from Burnley CID, said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward and contact the police.

“Fortunately the victim did not receive serious injuries but has been left shaken following his ordeal. The people responsible need to be caught and brought to justice.”

One of the attackers was wearing white traditional clothing with a skull cap, a second in black traditional clothing with a skull cap and the third was dressed in grey shorts and a blue top and had a shaved head.

Police are also keen to speak to two men who came to the assistance of the victim and drove him back home.

I am sick of the press saying Asian Men, it's about time they said what they really are and that is they are MUSLIMS. 

So what really happened is this. A schoolboy was forced to the floor by three Muslim men, he was kicked and punched and they stole his phone, then the MUSLIM men fled the scene of the crime. The police say these three MUSLIM men need to be caught and brought to justice.

Target Europe: The Great Muslim Invasion.

Europe has a population of around 800 million people of which over 60 Million are Muslim immigrants who began emigrating to European countries toward the end of the second world war.

Since the 1950's Muslim birth rates in all European Cities have risen dramatically  while all other faiths have seen a period of decline. On that basis it's fair to say that exponentially Muslims will (within a certain amount of time) become the majority voters in a large swathe of democratic European countries.

Taking all that as true and bearing in mind that Islam is opposed to democracy, isnt it true to say then that Europe will eventually become just another Islamic continent because, in time, democracy will be voted out?

Demographics don't lie so to understand how this is happening its important to check the facts.

Muslims in West Europe settle in largely urban areas. In cities such as Marseille in France, Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and Malmö in Sweden, Muslims form a quarter of the residents, according to Fox news.[13] In Oslo, Muslims comprise of 15% of the population, while in others, like Paris, Brussels, London and Copenhagen, the figure is 10%.[14][15]

Plans for Islamic school in Blackburn turned down

PLANS to open an Islamic school in Blackburn have been turned down.

Blackburn with Darwen Council decided against plans to convert an industrial unit in Leamington Road into a madrassa after schoolteaching centre where children learn the Koran, the Muslim holy book.

Blackburn’s planning committee said the application was not complete and had not taken into account fire regualtions or health and safety regualtions.

The applicant was advised to have further conversations with planning officers by councillors at Thursday’s meeting.

Councillors went against planning officers recommendations to approve the plan.

Applicant Faruk Patel told the meeting he had taken on board concerns about parking, but that many students would walk to classes.

However councillors had concerns about the condition of the building for holding classes for young people.

Coun Paul Browne said: “The building is quite unsuitable for this use, you only need to look at it.”

Chairman of the committee Jim Smith said: “In particular, attention needs to be placed on putting in proper fire escapes and safer windows.

“I would suggest further talks with planning officers. I’ve never seen a building more unsuitable”.

Applicant Faruk Patel was hoping to transfer his 25 pupil madrassa onto the site as his current landlord in Lynwood Road, Blackburn, will not be renewing his lease.

A number of petitions objecting to parking issues and the suitability of the development were submitted following his application.

Charlene mum in police order threat

POLICE have handed an harassment warning notice to the mother of missing schoolgirl Charlene Downes after she distributed leaflets about the two men acquitted of killing her daughter and disposing of her body.

But Karen Downes has refused to sign the order and says she would rather “put herself in prison” than agree to the notice.

The 46-year-old said: “I’m very upset. I’m Charlene’s mother and I should be allowed to peacefully protest.

“I’m entitled to make my point of view.

“I won’t sign it. I will put myself in prison for this.

“There is no way I will sign this, they can arrest me.”

Leaflets

Mrs Downes was with a group of friends when she handed out leaflets implicating Iyad Albattikhi and Mohammed Reveshi in her daughter’s disappearance.

The St George’s High School pupil has not been seen since November 2003 when she disappeared, aged 13.

Iyad Albattikhi and Mohammed Reveshi, owners of the former Funny Boyz takeaway on Dickson Road, were arrested as part of the murder investigation.

Mr Albattikhi was accused of murder and Mr Reveshi was charged with helping dispose of a body but both denied ever meeting Charlene. They were later acquitted of all charges.

Mrs Downes admitted posting leaflets through letterboxes on St Chad’s Road and handed others out on the Promenade.

The harassment notice was posted through Mrs Downes’ home on George Street, Blackpool, when she refused to speak to the police.

She added: “I wouldn’t speak to them, I was so angry.

“I think it is a disgrace.”

The harassment notice requests Mrs Downes does not communicate with Mr Albattikhi or Mr Reveshi by letter, telephone or computer.

She has been asked not to enter Mad About Chicken on Talbot Road, Cafe Express Shop, on St Chad’s Road, and Yum Yum Fish and Chips Shop, on the Promenade.

Mrs Downes has also been told she should not distribute or send leaflets which contain references to Mr Albattikhi or Mr Reveshi.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police confirmed: “A 46-year-old woman from Blackpool has been issued with an harassment order following the distribution of a number of leaflets in the Blackpool area relating to the on-going Charlene Downes murder investigation.”

Mrs Downes will now take part in a ‘Justice for Charlene’ event in Blackpool.

She added: “There will be a demo at 12pm on Saturday, June 9.

“We’ll be starting from Yates’s pub in South Shore.

“All we want is justice for Charlene.”

Charlene's Mum has been fighting for justice for her daughter for the last nine years. We all know that Charlene's body was cut up and grinded in a mincer and then sold to the publc in kebabs. We also know it was iyad Albattikha and Mohammed Reveshi who killied her, it was even heard on tape how they did it, but still they went free. Another girl disappeared from the same shop that was then known has Funny Boyz, the shop has since changed names, one being Mr Beanz. The shop is still open and people are still buying from them.

The police have simply swept this horrific crime under the carpet, and instead of having a retrial which every one want's the police would rather serve Karan Downs with an harassment order for handing out leaflets.

Why should she not let the public know who committed this awful crime, after all it was the police who made the blunder in the first place, and it was their fault these Muslims got away with it.

We are now living in a country where the police look after the immigrants rather than our own white British people. Ever since the Labour party opened the flood gates to let the Muslims pour into Great Britain and destroy our once great nation, we have been put on the back seat, we have been put last and the Muslims have been put first.

I can't wait for the day when the National Front rise to power, it will be a great day for the British people, and a sad day for the immigrants, because they will all be sent back, i can't wait to see an all white English football team once again.

We all need to show support for Charlene we need to show support for her family too, these Muslim killers have to be brought to justice, and people need to be warned about going in to their take a way kebab shop and other take a ways which are linked to them.

The police should be ashamed of themselves, i don't think they would have got away with it, if it was one of their daughters. Shame on you Blackpool Police Force.

Every UK School Could Be Sent Copies Of The Koran

Mr Gove has been an enthusiastic supporter of a current privately-funded scheme to send copies of the King James' Bible to every state primary and secondary school in England.

Last week thousands of the books were sent out to mark the book's 400th anniversary.

Asked in a radio interview if he would "consider sending out other important texts like the Koran", he said: "Well if people wanted to put forward proposals to me, philanthropists or others, for distributing great books to school then fantastic."

He told BBC Radio 4's World at One: "I think the King James Bible is specifically important because it was the root of so many important changes in the life of this nation.

"But if people wanted to put forward a selection of books which they felt I should distribute to school then great the more books we can get children to read the better."

Around 24,000 Bibles are being distributed to schools by the Government, with the inscription "Presented by the Secretary of State for Education".

Mr Gove has supported the scheme because he wants school children to be able to appreciate the literary heritage of the King James' Bible.

He said he had received "hundreds of letters" from head masters and head mistresses who were "absolutely delighted" to receive the books.

He said: "I visited a school just last week which had just received its bible that day and the head teacher thought that it was, and it is, a beautiful thing."

Mr Gove said the cost of sending out the bibles had been borne by a "variety of philanthropists", some Tory and Liberal Democrat donors, as well as "one person who would never support a political party but thought it was a good idea".

Later aides to Mr Gove later played down suggestions that he was keen for a mass mail-out of Korans to schools. One source said Mr Gove was trying to emphasise how he wanted more schools to have access to great historical texts, like the Koran and other holy scriptures.

The third official translation of the Bible into English, known as the Authorised Version, was commissioned by the King James I in 1604 and published in 1611. It became the Church of England's official version and was spread worldwide by the British Empire.

It also brought phrases such as 'stumbling block', 'at their wits end', 'bottomless pit', 'born again', 'eye for an eye' and 'scapegoat' to the English language.

Sending out Bibles to schools yes, after all we are a Christain country [just] but to send Korans to schools is a big NO. Our children are being brainwashed in the schools to believing that Islam is the way, and if children are taught this crap  young enough, then they will think Islam is the way.

This has to be stopped, we need to let this Mr Gove know that in no certain terms do we want our Children learning the Koran, and if he does not listen and goes ahead and sends them to the schools, then we must make a stand and take our children out under protest and not let them return untill the Korans have been removed.

Children are already being taught about Mohammed in certain schools without the parents knowing about it, this is also happening in America, but Obama won't stop it because he's a Muslim.

We are all in danger of loosing our country, you only have to read the newpapers everyday and you will see that Muslims are doing this and Muslims are doing that, what they are doing raping our young girls and drugging them, and the do gooders stick up for them because they ae brainwashed too, and the Labour party might as well be called the Muslim Labour party.

True Nationalists need to make a stand and show these Muslims and all the people who support them like the three main parties and the UAF and Hope not Hate, that we will not stand for it, we need to be strong and not let anyone put us down, we need to grow in numbers so we can protest in our thousands, and not just stand there like the usual few. We need to show them that we mean business and we want all Muslims out. This is Great Britain and we want our country back.

The Sexual Exploitation of Underage White Girls: If It’s Not About Race What Is It About?

Race crime has been in the headlines again. This time, two reports of men from predominantly Muslim communities, sexually exploiting and raping underage white girls. In Rochdale, England, eight men from the British Pakistani community and an Afghan were convicted of conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with children under the age of 16 and other sexual offences including rape and trafficking for sexual exploitation. The judge said they treated their victims “as though they were worthless and beyond any respect”.
It is beyond doubt that these men are predatory rapists with zero respect for females. However, public reaction to the case quickly descended into a debate about racism. Predictably, the BNP and other racist/far-right groups and publications, jumped on the religion and race of the convicted men and their female victims. In addition, many liberal-left commentators rushed to deny the race or culture aspect playing immediately into the hands of racist and misogynist discourse, and leaving themselves open to accusations of double standards. In fact, the gender-hate aspect became so overshadowed by race, that the criminals bizarrely ended up being painted as victims of racism.
Although the Rochdale crimes were predominantly about gender not race, the blurring of ‘race’ with religion and culture was also at fault. To deny that neither of these was a factor in this particular case is to ignore the root of the problem. Liberal-left commentators argued that paedophilia and sex-trafficking were not predominantly committed by men from the Pakistani or Muslim community in Britain. True. However, that does not block the question as to to why the men in this case targeted only white girls? Responses such as men preyed on these girls because “they were perceived to be unwanted, unloved, they were on the streets late and nobody seemed to care”, not only perpetuate white, working-class stereotypes but also answer only half the question. It shifts the blame back to the girls and their families as opposed to the predatory men. What factors drove these men to prey on these girls?
The second story was about the ’Lover Boys’ in the Netherlands .This story was similar to the Rochdale case, with high incidences of sex trafficking offences against white girls by men predominantly from the Moroccan community. The name, ‘Lover Boys’ itself being a typical example of how patriarchal culture transforms rape and sex-trafficking into an almost harmless bit of male fun. Whatever next, ‘Playful Pimps’?
Even though the Al-Jazeera report was a paradigm example of liberal-left reportage of a sensitive issue, after reading both these stories, I noticed some common themes :
1) a reluctance by the liberal-left to state these were racially-motivated crimes (even if it was not the defining factor);
2) an apparent lack of female voices in dealing with the problem in Muslim communities;
3) a failure to fully acknowledge that sexual exploitation of females is caused and perpetuated by any religion or culture that has at its heart a celebration of male dominance and supremacy.
First, race is clearly an element in both these specific cases. This is not to agree with the BNP or other far-right groups, its merely to state the obvious. In fact, not openly acknowledging this, plays right into the hands of racists.
Second, although it was refreshing to see Al-Jazeera’s positive portrayal of a Moroccan man tackling the issue within his community, the apparent lack of female voices (particularly Muslim ones) in dealing with the problem appears to have gone unnoticed:

‘Initially two imams, Abu Bakr el Fadil and Ahmed el Ouazzani, began the process of information gathering and started using the Friday prayer to launch a campaign on the issue of youth criminality, especially the problem of forced prostitution and pimping among Moroccan youth. After some time I set up a network of imams, including well-known imams such as Sheikh Shershaby, Sheikh Jneid Fawaz and Sheikh al Bakkali, who took the battle against ‘Lover Boys’ nationwide.’

If men and Imams are the ones dealing with gender-hate crime, is that really empowering females in that community?
Finally, there was very little analysis of how any patriarchal religion and culture (including Islam), that deems it spiritually and socially acceptable to deny women basic human rights of agency such as freedom of dress, movement, expression, education, sexuality, contraception, abortion, marriage and so on, engenders, legitimises and perpetuates such crimes against females. Without aligning myself with Islamaphobes, one would have to be extremely naïve, or wilfully ignoring the experiences of many women around the world today, to maintain that Islam does not encourage an ideology of male supremacy and female inferiority. Even ‘moderate’ interpretations of Islam unintentionally confirm the idea that there is a purer, fundamental version of Islam which absolutely places females as inferior and who must be controlled and subordinated. I am not only accusing Islam of sexism and misogyny here. We can see such attitudes in most religions in the world today, particularly when the religious texts have undergone hundreds of years of (mis)interpetation by male religious leaders and clergy. However, I have never been sexually harassed in a public space as much as when I lived in the Indian sub-continent and that experience needs to be acknowledged and addressed.
Sexual harrassment, schoolgirls in veils, forced marriages, sex-trafficking, FGM and honour killingshave no place in a secular, equal and respectful society. Neither do harmful and unnecessary plastic surgery, eating disorders and the widespread marginalisation and pornification of women in the media. If people want to go down the cultural relativist route, then what about respect and tolerance for a culture that values secularism and equality? If we don’t speak out about all types of misogyny in all religions and cultures (regardless of race), then women (as well as men) will continue to internalise these ideas about ‘womanhood’ and bizarrely become their own oppressors in the name of ‘freedom’ and anti-racist discourse will become part of the problem.
