Pastor Terry Jones knows a thing or two aboutdrumming up controversy. The Koran-burning preacher has attracted international attention over his involvement in inflammatory activities and his intense rhetoric against Islam. Last month, TheBlaze told you about his latest project, a film called, “The Innocent Prophet,” a movie he completed in collaboration with an ex-Muslim named Imran Firasat.

Earlier this week, the full movie, which stretches 71 minutes in length, was released on YouTube. Much like Jones’ past projects, the film holds the potential to infuriate Islamist groups across the globe. But because it also takes particular aim at the Prophet Muhammad, even the most moderate of Muslims may take offense.

As previously reported, the name and purpose of the “The Innocent Prophet” mirrors that of the ever-infamous “Innocence of Muslims,” which was blamed for widespread protests in the Middle East earlier this year. The connotative connection between the films is intentional, at least in title, message and tone, especially considering that Jones was also a supporter of the “Innocence of Muslims” project.

“We are trying to give a factual life of Muhammad,” Jones told TheBlaze of his new film last month. “His life was one that was pretty perverted in comparison to the life of Jesus.”

The pastor said that Muhammad promoted violence and that, even on his deathbed in 632 A.D., he called for his followers “to cleanse the Arabian Peninsula of non-believers” — something that he contends adherents have done for the past 1,400 years.

These sentiments are also captured in an official description that accompanies the film on YouTube. It reads:

The Innocent Prophet is the film that will help Muslims know the true face of Muhammad, as the creator of the false religion of Islam to achieve his own goals. It’s time to clear all doubts and accept that Muhammad was not a prophet but was a mobster, murderer, abuser of children and a self-proclaimed prophet.

A warning at the beginning of the movie reads, “Warning: Not Recommendable.” Bullet points note that “The Innocent Prophet” shouldn’t be viewed by anyone who is underage, by people who don’t believe in free expression and by “religious fanatics.”

In the first few minutes of the film, Islam is dismissed as a violent and intolerant religion. You can watch the fill 71-minute film, below (caution: disturbing content and themes):

As for Firasat, a Pakistani-born Christian who now lives in Spain, he is facing legal ramifications for his participation in “The Innocent Prophet” (he led the project and is the film’s narrator). In an interview with The International Business Times (IBT), he said that the Spanish government has threatened to deport him (an action that he contends could lead to the death penalty for apostasy).

Here’s a portion of that dialogue:

IBT: I understand you have postponed the release date. When might be the tentative release?

Firasat: Seven years ago I was granted refugee status in Spain for the reason that I used to criticise Islam. It has been seven years since that I have taken the fight against Islam very far. And my right to freedom of expression was always respected by this great country. But now suddenly for doing the same thing which I have been doing since for the last seven years, I have been threatened by the authorities [and told] that my refugee status will be revoked, I will be deported back to Pakistan where the death penalty for blasphemy is waiting for me and that I may be detained if I continue with the plans to release the movie.

That is the reason I have decided to postpone it temporarily.

While he initially decided to postpone the release (this IBT interview was published Dec. 13), Terry Jones’ organization, Stand Up America!, published it on time on its YouTube page on Dec, 15, the release date that was solidified last month.

In the same IBT interview, Firasat was asked why he believes Spanish authorities have gone after him. He expressed surprise and appeared to be dumbfounded over the alleged governmental crack-down:

Firasat: That’s a very funny, interesting and surprising question for me even. Why now? I was granted asylum because of my criticisms of Islam. I have formally asked the Spanish government for the prohibition of Koran in Spain. I have given thousands of interviews to radio and TV channels. I wrote articles in newspapers.

But I was never told by anyone that what I am doing is illegal. Now suddenly they try to revoke my refugee status, detain me and prosecute me for offending Muslims’ religious sentiments. Why? There may be two reasons: Fear of violence by Muslims abroad and in Spain, and conflicts in diplomatic relations with Islamic countries which are investing in Spain.

All of what [the] Spanish authorities are doing is not according to the law but according to their personal desires. Ministers are human, not god.

Firasat maintains that Spain has changed dramatically during his seven years living there and that his personal rights have been eroded of late. He noted that the nation is not the same as it was when he originally arrived and was granted “complete liberty of expression.” You can read the entire interview here.

Now that the film has been released, there’s no telling what will happen to Firasat. Furthermore, the reaction within Muslim communities will be intriguing to watch.

Ipswich: Girl, 15, raped after being invited for cup of tea, court hears

A SCHOOLGIRL was raped by a man while his friend held her wrists and covered her mouth with his hand, it has been alleged.

The 15-year-old had been invited by the men to a house in Rendlesham Road for a cup of tea but when she got inside the front door was allegedly locked behind her, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

The girl initially sat down on a sofa but felt nervous and decided to leave and was then allegedly slapped round the face causing her to feel dizzy, said Andrew Shaw, prosecuting.

She then found herself lying on the sofa with one of the men holding her wrists with one hand and covering her mouth with the other, while 30-year-old Aram Ahmad allegedly removed her trousers and underwear and raped her.

During the alleged attack the girl unsuccessfully tried to kick out at Ahmad and tried to bite the hand of the man who was holding her wrists, said Mr Shaw.

Afterwards the door had been unlocked and the alleged victim had been allowed to leave the house. She didn’t report the alleged attack immediately because she didn’t think anyone would believe her but went to the police three months later after she received an anonymous telephone call telling her there was video footage on the internet of her having sex with a man.

“She had no recollection of being filmed,” said Mr Shaw.

Two days later the girl was near Norwich Court in Ipswich at around 6pm when she heard someone call her name and realised it was the man who had allegedly raped her.

She told him to go away but he grabbed her wrist and when she told him to let go or she would call the police he allegedly touched her breasts and laughed, said Mr Shaw.

Ahmad, of Norwich Court, Ipswich, has denied raping the girl in January last year and sexually assaulting her on April 29 last year.

He was arrested by police in July this year after he was involved in an accident and officers who checked the police national computer realised he was wanted on suspicion of rape.

Ahmad told police he had never met the girl and had not taken her to the address in Rendlesham Road or had sex with her.

The trial continues today.

A judge has lambasted a GP jailed for 11 years for indecently assaulting seven female patients between January 1970 to June 1995.

‘In 40 years’ experience as a court practitioner, this is the worst case of its kind by a professional man I have had the misfortune to encounter or try,’ Judge Simon Lawler said.

‘This is, on any view, a catalogue in some cases of persistent sexual abuse of patients with the grossest possible breach of trust of your position as a doctor.’

Female jurors wept openly as the judge delivered his verdict on 70-year-old Dr Gousul Islam, who hung his head in shame in the dock at Sheffield Crown Court.

Judge Lawler praised the women for speaking out, and said three of them had been left with psychological problems following the abuse which was a ‘terrible commentary on a medical man who took an oath to counsel and to care.’

Man Chops Off Sister's Head Over ‘Illicit Affair’ in West Bengal

In a shocking incident of a gruesome killing, a brother enraged over sister's extra-marital affair chopped off her head with a sword in West Bengal on Friday.

Mehatab Alam, 28, a resident of Ayubnagar, West Bengal, beheaded his 22-year-old sister Nilofer Biwi in public. Alam later surrendered to the police at the Nadial police station in South 24 Parganas district holding her sister's head in one hand and the sword in another. This is first case of honour killing reported in West Bengal.

According to the police, Nilofer married Akbar eight years ago. They have two children - a six year-old son and four-year-old daughter. Last month, she left her husband's house to stay with her parents.

On November 30, she went missing from her parental home, following which her family lodged a police complaint. After few days, Alam came to know that her sister had "eloped" with Feroz, a local rickshaw puller, with whom she had an affair before marriage, the police said, according to The Times of India.

On Friday, Alam holding a sword reached Firoz's place and dragged Nilofer out of the house. Apparently, Firoz escaped the attack as he was not present at that moment. When Firoz's sister-in-law, Saboo, tried to save Nilofer from Alam, he cut off her hand.

Alam then chopped off his sister's head in public and holding the head started walking towards the police station. He surrendered to the police and was immediately arrested for the gruesome act.

He told officials that he was not happy with his sister's illicit affair and he did not regret his act.

"Mehtab told us that he is feeling proud that he has given justice to his family. He told us that his sister played with the honour of his family and he has punished her. He also said that he was not scared of any punishment," Indian Express quoted a police officer as saying.

Spain: Imran Firasat Arrested, Charged and Released on Condition he Does not Publish the 'Innocent Prophet' Film

Absolutely astonishing. This is prior restraint. Normally, prosecution for a crime is done "post facto". But when it involves Islam, apparently, you can be arrested before the "crime" is even committed.

A judge in the Plaza de Castilla in Madrid charges a Pakistani refugee, who announced the publication of an anti-Islam film a few weeks ago, with incitement to religious violence. The judge prohibits the publication of the video on the network and makes his liberty condition on the distribution of the video.

The Pakistani and political resident of Spain Imran Firasat appeared this morning in front of the judge in the Court of First Instance number 50 in Plaza Castilla for two hours. The magistrate ordered him to be freed on condition that he does not publish even a single still image from this video which today was shown in the office of the judge and whose publication authority he has again been made responsible for.

When asked about whether he fears that the USA [Not sure why it mentions the USA here. Surely it's not that far gone?] would initiate a judicial process against him which could result in his extradition if, in the end, the video is distributed on the network, Firasat says no, that in any case the problem would be Terry Jones'. The preacher Jones is the person who burned a Koran in one of his sermons, unleashing the anger of the Muslim world. Firasat says he maintains contacts with this preacher and that now he has informed him that he has problems publishing the video.

"I am not going to distribute the video. I have postponed my decision because it has created alarm in Europe But the video is going to be distributed in the next few hours by the preacher Terry Jones".

Boys, 14, ‘pose with guns on Facebook hours after gunning down young mother’

Two 14-year-old boys who allegedly shot dead a young mother in an argument over a packet of cigarettes posted pictures of themselves brandishing guns on Facebook hours after the crime.

Police are still searching for Todavia Cleckley and Marcus Velasquez, who will be tried as adults for the murder in Beaver Hills, Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon.

A third boy, 13-year-old Kyle Goosby, is already in custody and has been charged with conspiracy to commit homicide.

One of the teenagers allegedly shot 22-year-old Kayla Peterson around 3pm on Saturday as she stood outside her home with her boyfriend, William Bailey.

The boys had followed Bailey from a nearby store asking for cigarettes and got into an argument with him and Peterson, according to court documents.

One teen pulled out a gun and fired a single shot, Beaver County police Chief Charles R. Jones Jr. told the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Ms Peterson, who had a young daughter, was flown to Allegheny General Hospital but died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen two hours later.

‘Words were exchanged and then gunfire,’ Jones said. ‘It’s disheartening juveniles this age were involved in an incident like this, and have guns.’

On Sunday, less than 12 hours after the shooting, a blurry photograph of two boys pointing guns at the camera was posted on Cleckley’s Facebook page.

The page already showed him posing with two guns – a semi-automatic pistol and a revolver – as the profile picture, which was uploaded last week. The page has now been taken down.

Jones told the Times Online that the boys were ‘no strangers to us. We’ve dealt with them before’. He added that he was not aware of the teenagers having contact with Peterson before the killing.

The boys have all had previous run ins with the police.

Velasquez, who has been involved with at least five alleged incidents, is still awaiting a hearing for two disorderly conduct citations from November, the Times Onlinereported.

Cleckley pleaded guilty on November 8 to violation of compulsory school attendance and was fined, while Goosby has been found guilty of disorderly conduct and also fined.

Velasquez is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and conspiracy to commit homicide in this latest crime. Cleckley is charged with conspiracy to commit homicide.

‘They’re armed and dangerous,’ Chief Jones said. ‘I’d like to see them off the street.’

Beaver County District Attorney Anthony Berosh said he will prosecute both teens as adults.

Huffington Post has finally confirmed what we guessed from the pusher’s name,  Naeem Davis, 31, an immigrant from Sierra Leone, says he is a devout Muslim who usually visits a mosque daily.

The man who confessed to fatally pushing a straphanger onto the tracks of a Midtown subway station earlier last week said he didn’t mean to push him that hard. Ki Suk Han, a 58-year-old from Queens, N.Y., was hurled from the 49th Street station platform onto the tracks by Naeem Davis, around 12:30 p.m. Han was attempting to calm the man, apparently a panhandler, when a scuffle broke out, police say. The man then pushed Han onto the tracks.

 As Han struggled to get back onto the platform, commuters just stood and watched until a subway train hit and killed him.  New York Post Muslim photographer, R. Umar Abbasi, apparently had enough time to take pictures of the terrified man, but not enough compassion and selflessness to even attempt to pull him up out of harms way.

The image appeared on the front page of the New York Post  with the headline ‘Doomed’. The 58-year-old can be seen looking at the train with his arms outstretched he tries to heave himself out of its path.

American Communist/Islamofascist-sympathizers are wringing their hands over 2011 Muslim Hate Crime stats

From the radical leftists at the Southern Poverty Law Center (where BNI and other anti-Islam bloggers top their hate-groups list), we learn that that the FBI numbers for anti-Muslim hate crimes in the U.S. are about the same for 2011 as they were in 2010 when there was an “unprecedented 50% spike.” What they choose not to highlight is the fact that anti-Jewish hate crimes are still about 5 times higher than anti-Muslim hate crimes.

Religious bias.

FBI Hate crimes motivated by religious bias accounted for 1,318 offenses reported by law enforcement. A breakdown of the bias motivation of religious-biased offenses showed:

• 62.2 percent were anti-Jewish.

• 13.3 percent were anti-Islamic.

• 5.2 percent were anti-Catholic.

• 4.8 percent were anti-multiple religions, group.

• 3.7 percent were anti-Protestant. 

• 0.3 percent were anti-Atheism/Agnosticism/etc. 

• 10.5 percent were anti-other religion. (Based on Table 1.)

SALON  Hate crimes against perceived Muslims, which jumped up 50% in 2010 largely as a result of anti-Muslim propagandizing, remained at relatively high levels last year, according to 2011 hate crime statistics released today by the FBI.

The bureau reported that there were 157 reported anti-Muslim hate crimes in 2011, down slightly from the 160 recorded in 2010. The 2011 crimes occurred during a period when Islam-bashing propaganda, which initially took off in 2010, continued apace.

SPLC claims that the FBI statistics, which are compilations of state numbers, are notoriously understated. Two Department of Justice studies have indicated that the real level of hate crimes in America is some 20-30 times the number reported in the FBI statistics, in part because some 56% of hate crimes are never reported to police and more than half of those that are are mischaracterized as non-hate crimes. Nevertheless, the FBI statistics can be used to get a sense of general trends.

Last year saw continued high levels of anti-Muslim propaganda such as the crusade by some against the alleged Muslim plan to impose religious Shariah law on the United States. There were a number of local battles over the construction of new mosques, and several were attacked by apparent Islamophobes.

At the same time, the FBI statistics suggested that there was a 31% drop in anti-Latino hate crimes, from 534 in 2010 to 405 last year. It’s not clear what might be behind that drop, other than an apparent diminution in anti-Latino and anti-immigrant propaganda as negative attention focused on Muslims.

That rapid growth in Islamophobia, marked by the vilification of Muslims by opportunistic politicians and anti-Muslim activists, began in August 2010, when controversy over a planned Islamic cultural center in lower Manhattan reached a fever pitch.

Things got worse later in the year, when Oklahoma residents voted to amend the state constitution to forbid the use of Islamic Shariah law in state courts — a completely unnecessary change, given that the U.S. Constitution rules that out. The overheated atmosphere generated by these events also helped spur a 50% jump in the FBI’s count of anti-Muslim hate crimes in 2010. Then, in March 2011, U.S. Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) held hearings on the radicalization of U.S. Muslims that seemed meant to demonize them. At the same time, there was a swelling of truly vicious propaganda from several bloggers.

ANTI-MUSLIM hate groups are a relatively new phenomenon in the United States, most of them appearing in the aftermath of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Earlier anti-Muslim groups tended to be religious in orientation and disputed Islam’s status as a respectable religion.

All anti-Muslim hate groups exhibit extreme hostility toward Muslims. The organizations portray those who worship Islam as fundamentally alien and attribute to its followers an inherent set of negative traits. Muslims are depicted as irrational, intolerant and violent, and their faith is frequently depicted as sanctioning pedophilia, marital rape and child marriage.

These groups also typically hold conspiratorial views regarding the inherent danger to America posed by its Muslim-American community. Muslims are depicted as a fifth column intent on undermining and eventually replacing American democracy and Western civilization with Islamic despotism. Anti-Muslim hate groups allege that Muslims are trying to subvert the rule of law by imposing on Americans their own Islamic legal system, Shariah law.

Anti-Muslim hate groups also broadly defame Islam, which they tend to treat as a monolithic and evil religion. These groups generally hold that Islam has no values in common with other cultures, is inferior to the West and is a violent political ideology rather than a religion.
