Pictured: Nine men in court accused of child sex grooming in Rochdale

Nine men have appeared in court charged with the sexual exploitation of a teenage girl in Rochdale.

They are accused of a string of offences against one young teenager in 2008 and 2009.

The men, who are all from Caribbean, Asian or African backgrounds, were arrested in May, following an investigation into child grooming by Greater Manchester Police.

Jamaican Freddy Kendakumana, 26, of Illminster, Rochdale, is charged with three counts of rape, attempted rape and four counts of sexual activity with a child under 16.

Roheez Khan, 26, of Ashfield Road, Rochdale has been charged with 10 counts of sexual activity with a child under 16.

Chola Chansa, 32, of Illminster, Rochdale, has been charged with five counts of sexual activity with a child.

Ali Asghar Hussain Shah, 39, of Lyefield Walk, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity and inciting sexual activity with a child under 16.

Anjam Masood, 30, of Marne Crescent, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity and inciting sexual activity with a child under 16.

Asrar Haider, 38, of Chamber House Drive, Castleton, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity and inciting sexual activity with a child under 16.

Abdul Huk, 36, of Ouldfield Close, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity with a child under 16.

Mohammed Abu Baker Rafiq, 31, of Allington, Freehold, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity and inciting sexual activity with a child under 16.

Mohammed Ali, 27, of Exbury Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity with a child under 16.

All nine men granted bail and ordered Minshull November 30

Lawyers for Haider, Shah, Masood and Khan made an application to prevent the press publishing their addresses or identifying them in photos.

But this was dismissed after representations were made by both the crown prosecution service, the M.E.N. and other members of the press.

In his ruling magistrate Royston Gill said: “I do not accept that publication of their images will prevent their right to a fair trial.”

All nine men were banned from any educational establishment as part of their bail conditions, but Masood and Huk were granted special dispensation so they can to take their children to and from school.

They have all had to surrender their passports Khan made an application to have his returned saying he needs the document ahead of his planned marriage ceremony but magistrates rejected his plea.

Deport the lot of em,they are not welcome in out country.
