THE bungling 21/7 bombers who plotted to unleash carnage in London days after the 7/7 attacks are begging European judges to free them – claiming their human rights have been breached.
Al-Qaeda fanatics Muktar Ibrahim, 29, Yassin Omar, 26, and Ramzi Mohammed – all jailed for life – hope the European Court of Human Rights will overturn their convictions.
Their lawyers are arguing they got an unfair trial because evidence from early police interviews should not have been used.
A similar attempt at the Court of Appeal in 2008 was thrown out.
The same year they made their application to unelected judges in Strasbourg in the hope they would overrule the move. But the European court is still asking the Government for more evidence.
